About Us

about us
Holding Her Space is a community-based prenatal, birth and postnatal doula service that supports new mums and mums-to-be on the delicate journey into motherhood. We provide non-clinical, holistic and personalised support for women and families throughout the stages of pregnancy and parenthood.
Based in Manchester and established in 2018, our team is passionate about improving outcomes for mums from African and Caribbean communities through a variety of services and also working alongside partner organisations to bridge the gap of care received.
We work diligently to ensure that our ‘village’ is equipped with the tools needed to feel empowered, nurtured and better informed for birth and beyond through:
One-to-one support
Workshops
Events
Peer Support Safe spaces

Our support is 100% tailored to the needs of those seeking guidance, practical support, information and education. How do we tailor our support? We listen and work with you to create a care plan that feels right for you!
We continue to ensure our work covers all areas of pregnancy and birth so we are continuously expanding our team, our experience and offerings to give our mums the best support with us!
