This tool has been practised for thousands of years and can be done in numerous ways such as through mindful meditation, walking/moving, transcendental meditation, guided visualisation, body scanning meditation and much more. Scientists have studied the benefits of meditation on pregnant women and have agreed that it can help mums-to-be throughout pregnancy and especially at birth.
The impact of high levels of stress or cortisol and anxiety during pregnancy can have an effect on both mother and baby and the pathway in which babies can be born.
